Is it not so pathetic that when someone wants to take away our God/Dhamma/Tao/Allah-granted freedom, we have to beg, beg, beg (translate to petition here there everywhere)?
To me we should do absolutely nothing. See how far they can go with this. It will create more WIKILEAKS, Anonymous Hackers, CHE Guevaras, and you better join us (those smart mere slaves among you :) ).
I would really look forward to the highly patented, lobby-backed corporate US Senate for doing this. It will really create more anarchy which what the Web is really about. From anarchy is your individual freedom.
Institutions and excessive laws are nothing but unwanted walls with solids on it. Don't get me wrong. Gandhi is an institution. So is Mandela. So is CHE Guevara. They are icons, voices of conscience. Humans. Not walls. Thus not deaf.
OK, USA. Bring it on!
